The Police Federation is the staff association for police officers from the rank of constable to chief inspector.

Subscribing members receive support and advice from colleagues elected as workplace representatives and trained to offer guidance on Police Regulations and other issues affecting officers.

How much does it cost per month to be a member?

Officers from the Federated ranks can opt to become a subscribing member of the Federation, entitling them to the full range of support and assistance in accordance with Federation rules.

From 6 October 2022, membership costs £22 per month which is claimable against your income tax.

In the first two years as a student constable, this subscription is discounted by 100 per cent and then full subscriptions are then paid from the third year.
